Median Web3 developer salary stands at $128K in 2023

In a recent Pantera survey, less than 2% of respondents said they worked full-time in an office setting, with the rest working remotely. A typical Web3 developer has a median salary of $128,000 in 2023. According to a recent survey by Pantera Capital, the highest Web3 engineer salaries were reported in North America at $166,610, followed by $102,226 in Europe, Middle East and Africa, $90,559 in Latin America, and $75,000 in the Asia Pacific Region. The survey featured over 1,600 respondents across 77 countries; 40.1% of respondents worked in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector, followed by centralized finance (26.1%) and blockchain infrastructure (15.2%).  Less than 2% of developer s surveyed said they worked in a physical office space full-time, while 10.6% said they worked in a hybrid in-person/remote work environment. Attitudes on crypto are geographically divided, ConsenSys survey finds

On Tuesday, ConsenSys published a survey in partnership with YouGov, focusing on crypto and Web3. The survey findings suggest a contrast between countries with developed economies and those with emerging economies. The survey polled over 15,000 people aged 18 to 65 in late April through May of this year. The respondents were also spread out among 15 different nations across Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe.  A healthy supermajority, 92%, were aware of crypto, but that’s where the similarities ended.  Respondents from developing nations were generally more optimistic on crypto, while developed nations were decidedly more skeptical.  Nigerians were quite keen on owning crypto as a store of value, with 65% of Nigerians feeling this way.  For crypto investors in the US, Germany and the UK, the reasons for owning digital currencies were a bit different.  Americans, Germans and Brits all said one of their top reasons for investing in crypto was because they were “curious” and ...

The global payment s industry is bullish on the potential of crypto currencies and blockchain to enable faster and cheaper transactions, according to a new survey co-hosted by Ripple. Blockchain-based digital payment network Ripple and the Faster Payments Council (FPC) payment organization on March 2 issued a report devoted to the opportunities of crypto-enabled payments. Titled “Transforming the Way Money Moves,” the report provides insights on global crypto payment trends based on a survey sent to over 950 FPC subscribers, such as analysts and CEOs across 45 countries. The survey included a total of 281 respondents addressing 25 questions on topics of blockchain payments use cases and benefits, digital asset ownership and usage barriers.
