Fantom Foundation hacked for an estimated $6.7M: Report

Fantom Foundation's wallet was reportedly drained of funds by a “Fake_Phishing” account. Fantom Foundation, developers of the Fantom network, have reportedly been hacked for over $6.7 million worth of cryptocurrency.  Blockchain data shows that an address labeled “Fake_Phishing188024” was sent over 2,000 Convex (CVX) tokens and other cryptocurrencies from a known Fantom Foundation wallet. On-chain sleuth Spreek reported the attack on X (formerly Twitter) and estimated losses at $6.7 million. Security platform CertiK has estimated losses at only $657,000. SocialFi app Stars Arena dispels ‘coordinated FUD' after patching ‘noob’ vulnerability

A fault in the Stars Arena price function allowed hackers to escape with roughly $2,000, however the vulnerability has since been patched. The team behind the new friend.tech-inspired protocol Stars Arena has dismissed what it called “coordinated FUD” after patching an exploit that saw attackers escape with $2,000 from the Avalanche-based decentralized social media platform. Circle, Tether freezes over $65M in assets transferred from Multichain

Multichain has suspended its operations after an unexplained transfer of crypto assets worth millions of dollars took place on July 6. Stablecoin issuers Circle and Tether have frozen over $65 million in assets tied to the suspected exploit of cross- chain router protocol Multi chain . The move follows unexplained large outflows from the Multi chain MPC bridge on July 6.  According to the knowledge graph protocol 0xScope, three addresses that received at least $63.2 million in USD Coin (USDC) from Multi chain are now frozen. Another report from the Fantom Foundation notes that more than $2.5 million in Tether (USDT) had also been frozen from two addresses listed by Etherscan as "Multi chain Suspicious Addresses". Over $125 million worth in cryptocurrencies were withdrawn from multiple wallets on July 6, affecting Multichain’s Fantom bridge, as well Dogechain, Moonriver, Kava and Conflux's ecosystems. Atomic Wallet hack losses top $35M, on-chain sleuth reports

Security teams are investigating the cause of the attack. Reports have surfaced of tokens being lost, transaction data being erased, and even entire crypto portfolios being lost. At least $35 million worth of crypto assets have been stolen from Atomic Wallet users since June 2, according to an Analysis from on -chain sleuth ZachXBT. The five largest losses account for $17 million. According to Atomic Wallet on Twitter, the cause of the attack is being investigated. Reports have surfaced of tokens being lost, transaction histories being erased, and even entire crypto portfolios being stolen. An independent investigation carried out by pseudonymous Twitter ZachXBT, known for tracing crypto stolen funds and assisting hacked projects, has found the largest victim lost $7.95 million in Tether (USDT). Terra DeFi project Terraport suffers $2M hack days after launch

Terra users are losing another round of funds due to a breach on the new DeFi platform Terraport Finance, which launched on March 31. The algorithmic stablecoin TerraUSD (UST) collapsed almost one year ago, but some Terra-related projects are still live and trying to overcome some issues. Terraport Finance, a decentralized finance (DeFi) exchange project based on the Terra Classic blockchain, suffered a breach on its liquidity wallet on April 10. Announcing the news on Twitter, Terraport said the hacker had drained all liquidity pools from the platform, causing losses of about $2 million worth of digital assets. “We are currently working with community members and major exchanges to secure as many of these funds as possible and blacklist wallets. Liquidity protocol Sentiment exploited for over $500K

More than $536,000 was drained from the Synapse Bridge on April 4, according to Ethereum blockchain data. Sentiment, an undercollateralized lending protocol , appears to have been exploited on April 4 for over $500,000 in crypto. Ethereum Blockchain data shows a transaction that transferred 536,738.410031 USD Coin (USDC) from the Synapse Bridge, and this links up with a series of Arbitrum transactions draining coins from the Sentiment protocol .  The wallet performing the attack has been labeled "Sentimentxyz Exploiter" by Arbiscan, and the Sentiment team has announced on Twitter that they are aware of a "potential issue" with the protocol.
